As a life-long resident of the CD Farquharson neighbourhood and owner/operator (since retired) of a local business strictly within the community, and former president of the CD Farquharson Association, I have welcomed the leadership shown by Councillor Jamaal Myers. He is always ready to listen and help resolve issues. It is clear to me that Jamaal cares deeply for our community and the residents of Scarborough North. • CUPE 79

CUPE Local 79 members are 32,000 frontline public sector workers across Toronto's neighbourhoods. In May, they gathered at the Toronto Workers Summit to build a vision of a Toronto where equity is built into every community through the public services and support residents need to thrive. Every candidate the union endorsed was measured against that vision, and Local 79 members voted to endorse Jamaal Myers in Ward 23 (Scarborough North).

  • Rosemer Enverga, President, The Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation (PCCF)

It's a pleasure and an honour to be here to support Councillor Jamaal Myers and all he has achieved over the last four years. His platform has focused on affordability, safety and connectivity, and he has delivered on all of them. Jamaal cares about the big things and the small things alike. It doesn't matter to him, as long as he accomplishes what he promised, and he'll do it again if you elect him in the next election.

  • Hon. Lte. Nancy M. Siew, Order of Ontario, Ret. Citizenship Judge

There are two kinds of politicians. The first kind talk, talk, talk, and do nothing, and there are far too many of them. Jamaal belongs to the second group: the doers. He gets down on his hands and knees to really help, listen, understand and deal with the issue. People like that are fewer, and that's why they matter so much. I don't need to tell you what he has done; he has the track record. His ethics are high above everybody's. He has distinguished results. He has integrity, which I think is the most important thing of all. And he works hard and he loves the people. Jamaal is our people's councillor. Re-elect him, help him, volunteer for him.

  • RYAN XAVIER, Board Chair, President Ontario Basketball Association (OBA)

Like Jamaal I am a Scarborough kid, born and raised. I have seen Jamaal work diligently and hard to improve our city services, especially for our young people. Under Jamaal’s leadership Goldhawk Park has been revitalized with new basketball courts and equipment, a new youth hub has opened at Woodside Square, and a second youth centre is coming soon to Agincourt Recreation Centre. Our youth deserve nothing less. This October 26th vote for our future, vote for Jamaal Myers.

  • Sun Pei Teo, Former Director of Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto

Having served as a past Board Director of the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto and a long-time volunteer, I know what real community leadership looks like, and that is exactly what Councillor Jamaal Myers delivers. Jamaal cares deeply about Scarborough North. He advocates for women and their impact on our community. He is approachable and humble, yet possesses the strong legal expertise needed to meet the necessary to change  systems and improve our daily lives. Whenever there is a problem, Jamaal is right there on the ground. I proudly stand behind Councillor Jamaal Myers for re-election.

  • Marie Clarke Walker, Retired Union Leader and Community Activist

I am pleased to endorse Jamaal Myers for re-election as Toronto City Councillor.

Over the years, I have had the opportunity to see Jamaal’s commitment to community firsthand. He understands that leadership is not simply about holding public office—it is about being present, listening to people, building relationships and responding to the needs of the communities you serve.

Jamaal has consistently supported community organizations and initiatives and has demonstrated a genuine willingness to engage with residents, community leaders and those working every day to make our communities stronger.

I have always believed that effective leadership must be rooted in service. It requires accessibility, accountability and a willingness to work with people from across the community. My experience with Jamaal has reflected those qualities.

For these reasons, I am pleased to lend my personal support to Jamaal Myers in his campaign for re-election as City Councillor.
